My Return To Work – Written By Laura Clarke, Director

When I went on maternity leave last year, we were all just getting used to this new way of working, ‘virtually’ ‘remotely’; now for most it’s become the norm. Just 2 months into the first lockdown, nobody knew how the next few months would pan out, let alone the next year. I think it’s probably a good job we didn’t!

This morning I logged onto our video call with the Autograph Team, something we do daily to catch up, bounce around ideas and talk through our plans for the day. It was great to hear everyone’s updates and exciting new enquiries coming through.

Tomorrow we’re all meeting up in person and I can’t wait to see everyone, it won’t be long until we’re all back in the office together!

The Autograph team have dealt with the last year amazingly well, from turning live events to fully virtual with only a couple of weeks’ notice, bringing in new clients, finding new ways of helping our existing clients and giving our website an overhaul (to be released very soon!) all whilst working remotely themselves from dining tables, bedrooms, living rooms and newly built garden offices – not to mention whilst trying to home-school!

I personally would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Victoria who has kept the business running through the most challenging year we have ever seen. It’s all down to her determination, leadership and business acumen that we have been able to continue delivering our services and next year looks set to be amazing! Thank you Victoria, I think you deserve a year off!

Our events calendar for the remainder of 2021 looks completely different to where we were pre-March 2020 with a mixture of hybrid and virtual events but I’m really pleased to see the larger face-to-face meetings back in from the beginning of July. 2022 even sees the return of overseas events, something we have massively missed. We can’t wait to be back on the road, in the air and seeing some of our favourite clients, venues and destinations again.
